“In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter there’s a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.” n(“Hymn of Promise” by Natalie Sleeth, 1986)

Dear friends,

As I start my pastoral appointment at Oxford United Methodist Church, I look forward to joining you in your missions, outreach, and discipleship endeavors. All these efforts aim to reach new people with God’s love and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Summer time is a time of growth: the grass grows greener, the flowers bloom, children learn to swim, adults read a good book, Christians worship God and grow in faith. God wants us to grow in faith, grow the Kingdom of God, and “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world” (our United Methodist mission statement).

I look forward to serving as your pastor, getting to know you, hearing your faith stories, and worshipping God faithfully. Together we can grow in faith and love as we serve Jesus and all God’s people in the Oxford area and around the world.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Jennifer Jue
