Fellowship & Faith

Knit Knack

All are invited to join the knitters, crocheters, and anyone working on needlework projects that would like a little companionship while doing so, and occasionally doing mission projects too. They meet on Friday afternoons at 2pm in the Upper Room. Please contact Mary Garrard at 248-628-1289 if you have any questions.

Piece Makers Quilting Group

Whether or not you know how to quilt or sew, the Piece Makers would love you to attend and teach you what quilting is all about. They could use people that are willing to cut fabric or wash fabrics as well as sewing quilts. This group meets every other week on Monday evenings (2nd and 4th) starting at 6pm.

If you have any questions please contact Linda McIntyre at 248-628-1289. If you or someone you know would like the comfort of the prayers woven into a quilt during its creation, please contact Linda. Please note that quilts are intended for anyone who could use prayer and not only for those in extreme circumstances. They are made with love for any one who needs a hug and a prayer.

Rachel Circle

All ladies are invited to attend and participate in the Rachel Circle! It is a fellowship/social group that meets monthly during the school year, either at their homes or at a local restaurant on the second Monday of the month at 10am. Please watch the bulletin to find out the actual dates, times and locations. Please contact Linda McIntyre at 248-628-1289 for more information.

Book Discussion Group

Our Book Group is always looking for more readers who like to have fun. We enjoy our gatherings and share our reactions to the monthly title but also spend time sharing our love of reading. Please consider joining us; reading the monthly selection is totally optional. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30pm in the Memorial Room. Please join us! Recent monthly titles include: Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman, and Fortune Is A Woman by Elizabeth Adler. Please contact Mary Garrard at the church office 248-628-1289 for more information.

OUMC C4s

What does C4 stand for you may ask? It stands for Clean, Communication, Coffee and Cookies! It is made up of a wonderful group of people who are here most Thursday mornings (some are snowbirds!) who graciously make sure that the church is clean during the week.

If you can push a broom or wield a dust rag, you are gratefully appreciated! This group saves the church from paying for a professional cleaning service by cleaning for about an hour starting at 8:30am.

They enjoy getting together for fellowship over coffee and cookies afterwards. If you would like to be a part of this needed ministry please show up on Thursday morning and Frank Enekes will put you to work. If you have any questions, you can call Frank at 248-628-1289.
