“Give thanks in every situation because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thanksgiving season is a special time to give thanks to God for our many blessings- for family and friends, food and warm homes, caring communities and public schools, our local churches and faith-based organizations (Love I.N.C., FISH Food Pantry, Community Meals).

We are also blessed to be a United Methodist Church and be connected to their network of mission projects and missionaries worldwide (see the Missions page). UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief, is always one of the first to get disaster aid to places like Haiti and the southern US coast when Hurricane Matthew hit and destroyed homes and communities. Please support our UMC General Fund and our UMC apportionments giving so that we can continue to be a strong United Methodist Church active in mission and ministry worldwide.

Please pray for our Oxford UMC local church and how you can get involved. Our combined mission efforts help to share God’s love and message in practical ways with people in our communities and around the world. There is so much to be thankful for and so many ways to share with others in need. “Be blessed to be a blessing!”
